Sarah's Jewellery

I have been extremely lucky in the last few years to come into contact with one of the most motivated and amazing jewellery designer. Her name is Sarah Birt and she is fabulous. One of the kindest and nicest people I know and she works incredibly hard at everything that she does, pushing herself to the point at the moment where she has hurt her wrist from working to hard :)

These are the images that I have taken for her to put on her sites and things and hopefully soon I will be able to show you some of her new things actually on models. I love working with Sarah as she has an amazing amount of trust in what I do.

If you like her stuff check it out on etsy (second star to the right) and she has a blogg too Sarah Birt Jewellery.  I hope you love it as much as I do.

A Tribute to the boy

Before I go any further with my blogg I feel the need to show you the man who has put up with the amazing amount of crazy that I have thrown at him. He nags me and keeps me motivated with my work and if it weren't for him and my parents I believe I would have lost it by now. They provide a huge support for me.

This is my other half James, and if I say so myself he look gorgeous in these photo's. I do think that is mostly to do with the amazing photographer I am, but hey that's just me being modest :)

Inspiration of Nature

Having been to Savill Gardens over the weekend, I regained my inspiration for a variety of shoots that I want to do through the amazing flowers and arrangements that can be found there. Thought I would share the images that I took while I was there and let you see for yourselves what I mean

One of the biggest inspirations with these area's is the way in which nature abides by rules without communication there is a natural order of things that takes my breath away.

I think you could do some amazing things in this space, though it would mostly likely apply to any botanical garden. This garden is the one which I become inspired with today.

Cyprus 2010

Good Morning People,

I have just realised that I have not posted any of the images that I have taken to show you what I have done so far.

The only ones that I have to hand at the moment are from a wedding that I did in Cyprus. This is of Chris and Hana's wedding where I learnt a lot about what you need to do and the amount that in order to get the amazing shots that people want from their wedding day. It does involved a lot of organisation and a lot of tell people what to do. There is a fine line though between directing effectively and just being a bitch. I very very aware of this line and constantly concious of it. I don't want to spoil someone's day, but if they have specified shots they want they you do have to really take charge.

Any way here are the images that I have taken recently. Let me know what you think.

The Beginning

So this is the beginning of my blogg. Not sure quite what to say............ Well, this blogg is designed to give you a hint as to what I think about my work. The things that I learn along the way and the tips that I can give, by making the mistakes myself, to those of you who are thinking about creating your own photography work.

My first piece of advice if you are still learning photography is to make sure you learn all the digital stuff too. For example learn how to create your own website!! One of the things I have failed at is knowing how to create even the most basics of websites, which would make life a lot easier. Luckily I have an amazing boyfriend who not only puts up with my crazy (I have a lot of crazy!) but who also has some great friends and family who can help me out. I will keep you posted when it is ready and you can tell me what you think.

If you are more of an analogue photographer, trust me you still need these kind of skills to create publication for yourself, and to prove that even though digital exists you will never be able to beet the image that a film camera creates.
